Hector has been hired several times as photographer for documentaries chains in the world.

Some of the footage where Hector has worked are:

- Everest Ultimate Survival for Discovery Channel (That's how he get to stand in the roof of the world for the third time).

- The Womens of K2 for National Geographic

- Makalú the penultimate eight thousand of Andrew Lock, for Australian TV

- Canadian Women to Kilimanjaro in África for the canadian CBC

These experiences awakened in Hector's concern to make their own documentaries and this is how his projects like "Un Paso, una Cumbre" were borned.

These experiences inspired Hector to make his own climbs with cause. These projects had been film and designed by Lumatica and the project "Un Paso una Cumbre" was between the three finalist in the Iberoamerican Awards "Caracol de Plata 2012" outstanding for their creativity, originality, content and transcendency.

    Through "Ojos que Sienten" foundation, Héctor led with Erick Weinheinmayer, first blind persone to achieve the Everest, a group of blind mexicans and americans to the top of the Iztaccihuatl at 5,050 meters. November 2009.

  • ALMA I.A.P. foundation among with Hector Ponce de Leon decided to create the project "Asciende Kilimanjaro 2012". They gather around a group of people that wanted to start an adventure at the highest mountain of Africa, making a contribution of $40,000 mexican pesos or more, that were use to reconstruct the lives of cancer survivals.
